The adventurous trekking and camping inside the Periyar tiger reserve offer the unique opportunity to experience the wilderness in its pristine beauty.

• Three days trekking through the jungle and four days through the villages. 10– 15 km walk on a day Night stay in tented camps near river.
• The food, camping gear, etc are carried to the campsite by jeep. So the guests can have an easy walk.
• In three days in side the forest one can sight wild animals and birds. Animals such as elephant Sambar deer Nilgiri langur. Birds like hornbills woodpeckers etc. Through out the program traditional typical village life can be experienced with all original forms and styles . This experience will mirror the discover kerala program and reflects the cross section of the state”kerala”
• In forest campsites only vegetarian food will be provided but in village camps both vegetarian and non vegetarian food peculiar to kerala will be served.
• Food is prepared in each camp site and on each day by expert cook.
• On the last day of the program the dinner will be provided in the traditional way (thally) using banana leaf with 10-15 vegetarian items.
• Other important places to be visited in the village are:
  school of dancing , mural arts and architect (ancient thought) and the very famous metal mirror making family(only one family involved in this)
• Experienced crew to look after camp members.
• The trek starts at 8 am after break fast and reaches campsite by 3/4pm and dinner will be before 7 pm.
